IPv4 pricing and broker fees
What drives the price of a block, and exactly what we charge to broker the transfer.
Two different numbers matter when you buy or sell IPv4: the market price of the addresses themselves, which is set by supply and demand and changes over time, and the broker fee, which is ours and is published below.
We do not publish a fixed per-address market price, because a real one does not exist. What a block trades for depends on its size, its reputation and which registry it sits in. The calculator on the IPv4 page will estimate a total once you enter a price per address.
Contact usWhat moves the market price
- Block size. Larger contiguous blocks generally command a higher price per address.
- Reputation. Ranges with blacklist history sell at a discount, if they sell at all.
- Registry region. RIPE NCC, ARIN and APNIC markets do not price identically.
- Whether the space is contiguous, and whether it has been recently transferred.
Escrow costs
Escrow is charged as a percentage of the transaction, tiered so that the rate falls as the amount rises, with a minimum charge on small transactions. The exact figure is confirmed before you commit to anything.
Escrow is not optional on a purchase. It is what stops either side being exposed while the registry processes the paperwork.

Questions and answers
- What does DCXV charge to broker a sale?
A per-address fee based on block size: EUR 2.00 per IP for /24 to /23, EUR 1.00 for /22 to /19, and EUR 0.50 for /18 to /14.
- How much does a /24 cost to buy?
The market price is not fixed and changes with supply and demand. Use the calculator on the IPv4 page for an estimate, or ask us for a current quote.
- Are there fees for the buyer?
The buyer pays the escrow charge, which is tiered by transaction size. The broker fee is charged on the sale side.
- Is leasing cheaper than buying?
Leasing costs less upfront but continues monthly. Buying costs more initially but the block becomes an asset you own and can resell.
