How Much Does a Cloud Server Cost in Europe in 2026?

A cloud server in Europe costs from EUR 15 per month at DCXV, and most small business workloads land between EUR 15 and EUR 40. Every figure below was checked in October 2026, in euros, per month, against the rate card behind the cloud server configurator. Prices change, so the configurator has the final word.

Quick answer: three presets and Windows

Each preset includes one backup and a static IPv4 address. Prague and Covilha use the same rate card.

Preset Spec Price (checked 2026-10)
Small 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe from EUR 15.00/mo
Medium 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe from EUR 18.43/mo
Large 8 vCPU, 16 GB RAM, 160 GB NVMe from EUR 36.88/mo
Medium, Windows Server, admin access only 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe EUR 18.43/mo
Medium, Windows Server, 2 RDS user licences 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 80 GB NVMe EUR 24.43/mo

The Windows image has no separate line item. Only RDS user licences add cost: EUR 6 for 2 users, EUR 12 for 5, EUR 14 for 10. See the Windows VPS page and the licences page.

What moves the price

  • vCPU and RAM - the biggest part of the bill. Memory costs far more per gigabyte than disk.
  • Disk and backups - cheap per gigabyte, but each backup copy costs one more disk. One copy is in the presets.
  • IPv4 - the first address is included. Each additional one adds EUR 6.00 per month.
  • Licences and support - RDS user licences, and managed administration from EUR 30 per month for two engineer hours.
  • CPU cluster - the configurator also offers a high-frequency CPU cluster. The Medium spec is EUR 33.12 there.
  • Traffic - bandwidth is billed at a flat rate, not per gigabyte sent out, so there is no egress line to forecast.

Billing is monthly with no minimum term. We state no tax treatment here: confirm it for your company before you budget.

How the price is built (worked example, 2026-10-12)

For the standard cluster the calculator adds the parts of the rate card and multiplies by 1.2. For Medium:

  • 4 vCPU x 0.81 = 3.24
  • 8 GB RAM x 1.20 = 9.60
  • 80 GB disk x 0.01578 = 1.26, and the same again for the backup copy
  • one IPv4 = 5.00, minus a fixed adjustment of 5.00
  • sum 15.36, times 1.2 = EUR 18.43

Small adds up to only 7.68, but the calculator has a floor of EUR 12.50 before the multiplier, which is EUR 15.00. A server of 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM and 20 GB disk also costs EUR 15, so going below Small saves nothing. This is a calculation you can reproduce, not a quote: the order page shows the binding price.

Why the cheapest plan can cost more

EUR 15 is a floor, not a forecast. Calculated from the same rate card:

  • Too little RAM - 2 vCPU with 16 GB RAM is EUR 26.50, far more than Medium at EUR 18.43. Memory is where the money goes.
  • Storage growth - Medium with a 500 GB disk is EUR 34.34.
  • Backup depth - Large with seven backup copies is EUR 55.06 instead of EUR 36.88.
  • Licences and people - a Windows team of five needs RDS licences, and a machine nobody patches costs more later.

How to estimate your monthly bill

  1. Pick the preset closest to your workload; the sizing guide helps.
  2. Add extra IPv4 addresses (EUR 6.00 each) and backup depth.
  3. Add RDS licences if several people share one Windows desktop.
  4. Add managed administration if nobody on your team will patch the server.
  5. Confirm tax for your company.

Estimate calculated on 2026-10-12: a five-person Windows application on Medium is EUR 18.43 + EUR 12 (5 RDS users) + EUR 6.00 (second IPv4) + EUR 30 (two admin hours) = EUR 66.43 per month.

Which preset to choose

  • Small - development, staging, a small site or a bot.
  • Medium - the usual business application with a database. We mark it as recommended.
  • Large - a heavier database or application stack.
  • Windows on Medium - one administrator, or a small team on RDS.

Start with a cloud server and resize as the bill shows what you really use. Not sure? Write to sales@dcxv.com. A 3-day trial can be arranged through support, at DCXV discretion and without a guarantee; the trial checklist covers what to test, and the location guide helps you pick Prague or Covilha.
